Literature walk: Where the Wild Things Are

We waited in the abandoned classroom assigned to us. Prepared with our props, we scanned the doorways for any movement or sound that might have suggested a young, eager audience. Suddenly we heard it....... the pitter-patter of small feet and the voices of excited children. Before we knew it, we had taken our places and Michael was introducing our production. Our voices were strong and projected throughout the classroom. We performed to perfection while the enthusiastic kids, smiling and giggling, spectated 'Where the Wild Things Are'. After questions were asked and a few lucky children were provided with lollies, they cheerfully vacated the room and we repeated the process again and again to other keen audiences until the lunch bell signaled the end of our hard work.
