Polyfest!

Parnell Intermediate School went to the polyfest on 15 of March. I learned that living in the island is different to central Auckland. Different food clothes dances and beliefs. in New Zealand we eat food that is different to the islands food, they eat more seafood, tropical food and different types of meat. in the islands they use a lot of dances and songs to represent important events, beliefs and culture. they use sticks, feathers and even coconut shells while dancing. I enjoyed the mango smoothie, Tongan donuts and prawn kebabs. there were many free items like the ASB basketball zone, stools, food, drinks and meat. islanders like to wear different kinds of flowers on their colorful clothes and dresses, they also use tapa cloth for patterns. On different islands the use different patterns on the clothes. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE POLYFEST!
